Who We Are

    Gisele M. Michel is the founder and President of Icatalyst, LLC, a coaching and consulting firm that specializes in helping individuals and businesses to optimize performance. Icatalyst helps organizations to translate big ideas into concrete steps for action, by identifying shortcomings, and designing implementation strategies that improve leadership and organizational effectiveness.

Icatalyst, LLC specializes in helping leaders to create a framework for managing the people side of change. We offer leadership development through coaching and training, conflict resolution, organizational change, organizational culture and overall, improvement strategies. We work with our clients to troubleshoot complex problems and develop visionary plans for their success.

Gisele is a multilingual, multicultural professional with over 18 years of management experience and training in organizational development, executive and leadership coaching, external relations, policy development and analysis, capacity building, business development, mediation and conflict resolution. Gisele has provided management consulting, coaching and technical assistance to a wide range of sectors including businesses, non-profits and governmental organizations in Washington, DC, Miami, Minnesota, and Boston. She is currently also a graduate lecturer in the graduate program of Leadership Management at Northeastern University in Boston, MA.

As a consultant in private business some of her clients have included the US Department of Justice, the US Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) for whom she facilitated a 3-day workshop for US State Attorneys and Chief Executive Officers of housing authorities from cities around the US, to help them identify ways to effectively develop partnerships, create mechanisms to assess community and client needs, and develop strategies that build safe environments for their constituents. The event was attended by both Janet Reno, then US Attorney General, and former Secretary of Housing and Urban Development Andrew Cuomo. Former clients also include DC Office of International Trade to help develop international business development and promotion strategies for the nation's capitol, and WCVB-TV, Channel 5 in Boston, for public relations.

Gisele M. Michel is an effective communicator who has appeared on television and radio, has been featured in the Boston Globe and, quoted in the Washington Post.

• Twice member of the National Planning Committee for the White House Conference on Small Business in Washington DC.

• Former co-chair of the City-Wide Dialogues on Boston's Ethnic and Racial Diversity.

• Testified at the DC City Council on matters of economic and business development.

• Former Advisory board member of Miami International Film Festival.

• Former advisory board member of the D.C. Mayor's Commission for Women.

• Member of Strategic Planning Workshop for Practitioners, MAP an organization that offered executives on loan for technical assistance to local non-profits and small businesses in area of business management and organizational development in Minnesota.
